This Privacy Policy explains how TDC ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, shares and protects personal information through tdcompany.ca, our client portal and our services. We follow Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).

- Billing details: billing address and plan choices. Card and payment details are collected and stored by our payment processor, Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.

Information about your customers
If we build your website, it may collect information from your visitors (for example contact or booking forms). We process that information on your behalf to deliver your service. You're responsible for having your own privacy policy for your website and for having a lawful basis to collect your customers' information.
2. How we use information
We use personal information to:
- Create and manage your account and client portal.
- Build, host, update and support your website.
- Plan, run, optimize and report on your ad campaigns.

3. Consent
By using our website and services, you consent to us collecting, using and sharing your information as described here. You can withdraw consent at any time by contacting us, subject to legal and contractual limits. Withdrawing consent may mean we can't continue providing some or all services.
4. Who we share information with
We don't sell personal information. We share it only as needed to provide our services, with:
- Hosting and infrastructure providers: to host our website, client portal, database and file storage (including Lovable and Supabase).
- Payment processing: Stripe, to process payments and manage subscriptions.

Our service providers may only use your information to provide services to us.
5. Where information is stored
Some of our service providers store or process information outside Canada, including in the United States. While there, it may be accessible to courts, law enforcement and national security authorities under local laws. We use providers that protect information with appropriate safeguards.
6. How long we keep information
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above:
- Account, project and portal information: while your account is active and up to 2 years after your services end, unless you ask us to delete it sooner where we're allowed to.
- Billing and tax records: as long as required by law (generally 6 years in Canada).
- Contact form enquiries that don't become clients: up to 2 years.
When information is no longer needed, we securely delete or anonymize it.
7. How we protect information
We use reasonable safeguards, including encrypted connections (SSL), access controls so clients can only see their own information, restricted administrative access, and trusted service providers. No system is completely secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security. If a breach creates a real risk of significant harm, we'll notify you and the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada as required by law.
8. Cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, secure our services and measure site usage. You can control cookies through your browser settings, but some features (such as signing in to the portal) need them to work.
9. Your rights
You can ask to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you.
- Correct information that's inaccurate or incomplete.
- Withdraw consent or ask us to delete your information, subject to legal requirements.
